First Dham • Source of River Yamuna • Forest Valley Pilgrimage
Yamunotri is the first dham of the Char Dham circuit and is believed to be the sacred origin region of River Yamuna. The shrine lies in a narrow Himalayan valley with pine forests, waterfalls and steep mountain slopes. The final approach is a pilgrim trek from Janki Chatti.

Dehradun / Rishikesh → Mussoorie → Barkot → Janki Chatti → Yamunotri Dham
