The Valley of Flowers Trek is one of the most famous monsoon treks in Uttarakhand, known for its colourful alpine flower meadows, rare Himalayan plant species and a peaceful walking trail inside a protected national park valley.
During the blooming season, the valley comes alive with carpets of flowers, moss-covered rocks, waterfalls and misty mountain slopes — offering a pure nature-immersive trekking experience.
The trek begins from Govindghat, with a gradual walk to Ghangaria — the base village for Valley of Flowers.
Route:
Rishikesh → Joshimath → Govindghat → Ghangaria → Valley of Flowers
