🧊 Kalindi Khal Pass Trek

Trans-Glacier Crossover β€’ Gangotri to Badrinath β€’ Extreme High-Altitude Himalayan Traverse

πŸ“Œ Trek Overview

Kalindi Khal is one of the toughest high-altitude traverses in the Indian Himalaya, connecting Gangotri glacier system to the Alaknanda valley through a long, committing glacier corridor with the pass at ~5,947 m.

The route involves extended moraine fields, crevasse-risk glacier zones, snow plateaus, exposed ridges and continuous movement in thin air. This is a **serious expedition-style trek** where pacing, judgement, rope safety and acclimatization discipline are essential.

Camps remain cold, windy and isolated β€” vast silence, towering ice walls, and the intense feeling of being deep inside the Greater Himalaya. This trek is suitable only for highly experienced trekkers.
